Alaska Airlines Visa Signature Credit Card Review
Card Offers: Alaska Airlines is not really only an Alaskan Airline. It does fly to other destinations and has other hubs, such as LAX or SEA, making it a fast growing airline. Traveling on Alaska Airlines can be done quickly and more efficiently with the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature Credit Card. Of course many cards need an excellent credit score, and it doesn't work any more differently with this card. That card in your wallet can have a lot to offer after paying $75 annual fee.
Earning Points: The first thing to earning points is that you earn 25,000 points after making your very first purchase! So, all you gotta do is run to the Dollar Store and make a purchase, and there it is! A roundtrip ticket! Thats great, and a pretty reasonable offer. You will also earn 3 points per $ spent on Alaska Airlines, including Vacations, Cargo and Inflight. That can be up to 8 points per $! Of course for all other purchases you will receive 1 point per $.

Redeeming Points: When you redeem points, there's not much of an advantage with the card, but the fact that the card can help you earn points faster for flights on Alaska Airlines, as well as their partners. Alaska Airlines has roundtrip flights start at 25,000 points, so that one purchase, as said, is your roundtrip flight. Also, you can redeem points on Partner Airlines such as Emirates or Cathay Pacific or even small regional airlines such as Wings of Alaska. Also, there are magazine subscriptions, but does not go farther than that.
Airline Offers: Alaska Airlines gives a companion ticket of $99 ( not including taxes or fees ) only valid in coach class. Also, your miles won't expire unlike the regular program where they do expire if you do not fly with them. Not much there. Also, these are not tier qualifying points, so you have to fly to earn points
Verdict: Alaska Airlines is a pretty good airline, but their card doesn't say so. Apart from the 25,000 points and the companion pass, there's not much to expect. And besides, I would reccomend this card more towards frequent ( business ) Alaska Airlines travelers, where they have a higher chance of point accumulation and redemption quicker. All in all, not reccomended by me, and this is just my respective opinion. If anything, I would surely reccomend the Virgin America Visa Signature.
