United Airlines MileagePlus Explorer Card Review
Card Offers: United Airlines is one of the biggest airlines in North America, constantly growing with new destinations throughout the world, from Europe to India to Tokyo. The destinations are endless, and so are your possibilities of traveling on United Airlines once you get their United MileagePlus Explorer Card. This card, which does require you to be financially fit and have an excellent credit score, has much to provide all of its frequent United travellers.
Earning Points: Earning Points is pretty wide for the United MileagePlus itself, so I'll go over what advantages the cards have to earning points, not the MileagePlus or partners. First thing is that you will earn 30,000 points after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months your account is open. As well as that, you can earn 2X points on all United Airlines flights purchased with the card, and of course you can earn 1X point per $ spent everwhere else. If you also make $25,000 or more in purchases in a calender year, you can earn 10,000 points and if you add an authorized user to the card, you can get an additional 5,000 points. One great way to speed up to award flight is to book hotels at rocketmiles, a hotel booking website where you can earn between 1,000-5,000 points for EVER NIGHT, and therefore a 3 night hotel can even get you 15,000 points! Well worth according to me!
Redeeming Points: With the United MileagePlus Explorer Card, you don't access special redeem advantages or anything like that, but that doesn't really matter because even without the card, there are several ways that you can redeem points. One of those of course includes award flights, which start at 17,500 and increase according to distance, destination, peak, etc. Also you can use your miles on Award hotels and car rentals, where you can easily redeem your points for some couple of 1,000's. Miles can also be used for class upgrades and for buying gifts and making other purchases on united.com. Miles can also be used for dining in over 7,000 restaraunts! Those are some pretty great ways to redeem.

Airline Offers: United Airlines does offer a complimentary checked bag for the cardholder. They also have Priority Boarding Access, probably Group 2 or Group 1 in empty flights. Ever year, after you pay your annual fee, you will receive 2 one time use United Club Passes. Adding on to that, you will receive Concierge Services and are sure to receive point bonuses sfter completing some amounts. You will also be covered with Trip Cancellation and Trip Delay insurance. What more would we want?!
Verdict: Clearly United is expected to perform very well with their card as they made traveling much easier and exciting from the Lounge Access passes and the Trip Cancellation Insurance, which surprises me that it all costs $95! I would stay that this card is basically the American Citi MasterCard. This card does not have much of cons, and really is worth the annual fee. I would surely reccomend this card!
