As everyone knows United Airlines, a big airline for the nation, the flights are uncountable from where they fly from. I knew it would not be difficult for me to catch a flight to Dallas Ft. Worth, especially from Houston IAH, one of their hubs! I decided to try United Airlines and their products they have to offer, however I do know that for a short 50 minute hop, there is not much to try out. Anyways, with the new interiors, I was quite excited to try this airlines, new seats, and wanted to see which one can win me my tickets to Houston! Southwest vs. United! Its on!

The day of departure, I had checked out of the hotel and headed to my office. After completing my work, at around 3:30PM, I headed to the airport. It was quite a ride, but I reached after about 35 minutes. Upon arrival, I went through the terminal, but did not check in at the airport as I had done online check in the day before. I had gotten Position / Boarding Group B. I went through security at around 5:05 PM, which took around 10 minutes, which I believe as unreasonable, however I felt a bit early so I did not take too much tension.
Once security was passed, I had quite a long walk to my concourse, and my gate! I don't remember the gate, however it was not close by the security. After taking a nice walk, I reached my gate, which looked as if there was no flight because it was just empty. Of course it was quite early, so I could not make any strong predictions.
I was wrong when I said that the gate was empty, because by 5:55-6:00 PM, the gate was filling up and looked like there were about 55 people already at the gate. Boarding had started at around 6:10 PM, calling off the Group A first, with the high privilege members as well as First Class members. Following that were those who checked in quickly online, and so forth.
The problem with the boarding is that there was really no one for Boarding Group 5. There were barely any in Boarding Group 4 either. If I were you, I would not worry about getting a bad position on this short flight, and as said, it is a short flight, so really there's not much to worry.

Passengers were mostly business men returning from their work, or bound for their business. A few might've been connections, but most of them were dressed pretty formal. During the Boarding procedure, I saw a few passengers that were not able to fit their bags in the overhead compartment and had to check it in, which was for free.
I was quite surprised that the new interior would not have enough baggage space, but then again it is a pretty small aircraft and bags may not fit as easily as Widebody / Narrowbody domestic do.
The new interior was great, with a beautiful white lighted interior, and a mix of some colored ambiance from behind the overhead compartments. The seats were well cushioned, and felt pretty cozy, for a 55 minute flight. Legroom was acceptable, and the traytable would not cause problems when you open it and it get in the middle of your foot. I liked the seatback pocket as it was hard and fit into the seat and could only hold the inflight magazines and barf bag, and not any trash that would cause the front pocket to extend into your legspace. A great renovation.
After the doors were closed, passengers followed the safety demonstration and after a short taxi, we were following the clouds that led us to Dallas Ft. Worth.

After departure, the flight was quite uneventful, apart from the fact that the flight attendants had come around to serve drinks. There was a full variety of drinks to chose from and not just limited options. My classic- Diet Coke, Ice, no can - just a cup. Normally that's how it works for all flights. I try to prevent too many fizzy drinks when flying.
I didn't really check out the inflight magazine, but it did look like the magazine was in good shape, and not torn up like the other airlines let it be like. I didn't check out the washroom, as we were mostly flying through rough clouds that day.
It didn't feel like too much time before we landed, and we did land eventually. The disembarking was done through a gatebridge. I didn't have to worry about security or immigration or anything and just made it to my taxi and reached home safely in the stormy DFW Weather!
